Reflecting on My Score for Kinderspital Zürich

Looking back at the milestones that have shaped my career, one project still stands out as particularly close to my heart. Several years ago, I had the incredible opportunity to compose the music for an image film for Kinderspital Zürich.

Scoring a project for the Children’s Hospital required a delicate balance—finding a melody that captured both the vulnerability of childhood and the strength of the care provided there. It was a profound creative challenge that remains a proud moment in my portfolio.

A huge part of why this project was so successful was the collaboration with two visionary directors and producers, Beni Leoni and Roland Luder. Their guidance and creative synergy made the process of bringing this soundscape to life truly unforgettable.

It’s projects like these that remind me why I started composing cinematic music in the first place: to tell stories that matter and to connect with people on a deeper level.

Though years have passed, the lessons I learned while scoring that film—how to find the heart of a story through sound—still resonate in every note I write today. It remains a foundational chapter in my journey as a composer.
